As per reports, the national statistics agency INEGI reported on Tuesday (09 July) that the headline inflation rate was 4.98 percent in June, up from 4.69 percent in May.
• Headline inflation in Mexico in June has reached its highest level since the same month last year, when the rate was 5.06 percent.
• The rise in the cost of fruit and vegetables was the driving factor in the 10.36 percent annual increase in prices for agricultural products. Prices for meat the other component in the category were 2.89 percent higher in June than the same month last year.
