As per reports, employees of the Government Work Apparatus launched a spontaneous protest, ceasing their activities to express dissatisfaction with the proposed wage increases on Paris Street, near the B entrance of the Victoria Palace, around 1045 hours local time on Thursday (23 May), before the weekly government meeting was scheduled to start at the Victoria Palace at 1100 hours local time on the same day.

Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu stated that if the protests demanding higher salaries continue, he will proceed with restructuring the workforce. He also suggested that employees who are unhappy with the current situation should resign and waive their notice period.
