As per reports, the Legislative Assembly of Costa Rica has proposed amendments to driving regulations for foreigners, extending the driving privileges from the current 90 days to align with the validity of foreign licenses and visas.
• Additionally, the proposed changes eliminate the continuous residency requirement for document homologation.
• Pending a final vote in early April, the amendments require publication in La Gaceta for enforcement. These changes coincide with the extension of tourist visa stays to 180 days.
