As per reports, a new dengue alert has been issued is to tighten controls in ports and airports by Usmaf-Sasn (Maritime, Air and Border Health Offices) personnel to prevent the vector of dengue fever from enter Italy as of Sunday (17 March).

• Under this alert, an increase in disinfestations of aircraft and ships, including cruise ships, will be imposed.
• Additionally, rapid test at the airport for those arriving from risk areas, such as South American countries, will be installed. The test will be carried out on a random basis and will be done on a voluntary basis.
