As per reports, a fire broke out at an apartment in the Bath Beach area of Brooklyn, New York around 1900 hours (local time) on Sunday (17 March), which resulted in the death of two persons.

• The incident took place at a building on 159 Bay 29 Street between Bath and Benson Avenues in Bath Beach.
• Around 60 fire and Emergency Medical Service (EMS) personnel were deployed to the scene. One firefighter and three others also sustained minor injuries due to the fire.
