As per the press release issued by Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Kolkata and other districts of West Bengal between Friday (01 March) and Saturday (02 March). The details and traffic restrictions for the same have been announced:

• Around 1500 hours on Friday (01 March), PM will participate in a public programme where he will inaugurate, dedicate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth more than INR 7,200 crore in Arambagh, Hooghly, West Bengal.
• On Saturday (02 March), around 1030 hours, PM will reach Krishnanagar, Nadia district where he will inaugurate, dedicate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth INR 15,000 crore.
• Kolkata Traffic Police has issued a traffic notification for the VVIP movement in Kolkata –
• Movement and parking of vehicles will be regulated on Friday (01 March) and Saturday (02 March) along the below mentioned routes.
• Movement of all types of Goods vehciles shall be restricted in Kolkata within the Kolkata Police jurisdiction on the following roads from 1500-1930 hours on Friday (01 March) and again from 0730 hours to 1130 hours on Saturday (02 March), or till the VVIP movement is over.
• From 1500-1930 hours on Friday (01 March): 11, Furlong Gate – Khidderpore road – Jenson and Nicholson Island – Red Road – R R Avenue – Raj Bhawan South Gate.
• From 0730-1130 hours on Saturday (02 March): Raj Bhawan South Gate – R R Avenue – Red Road – Jenson and Nicholson Island – Khidderpore road – 11 Furlong Gate.
• All kinds of heavy goods vehicles shall be restricted to ply in and around Raj Bhawan from 0600 hours on Friday (01 March) upto 2200 hours on Saturday (02 March).
• Vehicular traffic may also be diverted from any of the arterial roads and feeder roads by the traffic police on duty as and when considered necessary, as per the programme of the VVIP.
