The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Law and Order Gautam Buddha Nagar, Hadesh Katheria, has invoked Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in view of the Bharat Bandh called by farmers’ organizations on Friday (16 February). Accordingly, the following restrictions, such as the prohibition of public gatherings and drone usage, have been enforced starting from Thursday (15 February). These restrictions will continue to be in force until further directives from local authorities.

• Processions or gatherings of five or more individuals in public places without prior permission from the Police Commissioner/Additional Police Commissioner/Deputy Commissioners of Police are prohibited. Exceptions could be granted for government-permitted events.
• Drone photography within a one-kilometer radius of government offices is strictly prohibited without permission. Elsewhere, drone usage requires authorisation from the Police Commissioner/Additional Police Commissioner.
• Use of loudspeakers at religious places is restricted from 2200 to 0600 hours, adhering to specified decibel limits as per regulations. Permission is necessary for exceptions.
• Public events involving religious practices or processions are prohibited without prior authorisation.
• Carrying weapons, except for specific exemptions, in public places is forbidden.
• Celebratory gunfire during weddings or processions is prohibited.
• Distribution of misleading audio/video material or spreading rumors via any media platform is not allowed.
• Consumption of alcohol or intoxicants in public places is prohibited.
