According to reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Pune in the second half of February for the inauguration of the new terminal at Pune International Airport and a Metro line from Ruby Hospital to Ramwadi junction. During his visit, PM Modi is also expected to visit Shivneri Fort to commemorate Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s birth anniversary on 19 February.
Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia recently reviewed the progress of the new terminal at Pune airport during his visit to the city and announced its inauguration within a few weeks. On Tuesday (30 January), officials from Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation (Maha-Metro), Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Pune Metropolitan Region Development Agency (PMRDA), and the district collector held a meeting regarding the inauguration. Meanwhile, Maha-Metro officials have confirmed the completion of the Metro line between Ruby Hospital and Ramwadi station.
