The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued the indicated weather alerts in the following metro cities, as of on Tuesday (01 September).
• Mumbai and Pune – No warning has been issued in the forecast and nowcast.
• Delhi, Noida, and Gurugram: No warning has been issued in the forecast and nowcast.
• Bengaluru – No warning has been issued in the forecast and nowcast.
• Hyderabad – No warning has been issued in the forecast and nowcast.
• Chennai – A yellow alert for thunderstorms, lightning, and squalls has been issued in the forecast; however, no warning has been issued in the nowcast.
• Kolkata – A yellow alert for thunderstorms, lightning, and squalls has been issued in the forecast; additionally, a yellow alert for light rainfall with thunderstorms is active as per the nowcast valid until 0600 hours (local time).
• Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar – No warning has been issued in the forecast and nowcast.
