As per reports, an unofficial referendum on Khalistan (an independent state in India), proposed by some Sikhs took place at the Civic Center Plaza, San Francisco on Sunday (28 January).

• The referendum was organised by the Sikhs for Justice organisation, a U.S.-based entity.
• Reportedly, over 127,000 Sikhs in San Francisco participated in this referendum.
