As per reports, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center (Ukrhydromettsentr) issued a yellow weather alert for parts of Ukraine due to forecast thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, hail and wind gusts of up to 20 metres per second for Thursday (09 July).

• Reports indicate that heavy rainfall is forecast in parts of Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
• Reports indicate that hailfall and wind gusts of 15 to 20 metres per second are expected in parts of Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, while thunderstorms are forecast across most regions during the day, including Sumy, Kharkiv and Poltava regions.
