As per reports, Israel Meteorological Service (IMS) has issued a Yellow Early Warning for heat stress conditions across parts of Israel on Thursday (14 May) from 1400 hours local time (1100 hours UTC) until 2000 hours local time (1700 hours UTC).
• The warning applies to the Bet Shean Valley, Jordan Valley, Northern Arava, Eilat Gulf, and Southern Arava regions.
• Authorities indicated that elevated temperatures and heat stress conditions are expected throughout the afternoon and evening hours.
• According to IMS, the weather conditions may increase the likelihood of dehydration and heat stroke, particularly among elderly individuals, children, people with underlying medical conditions, and outdoor workers.
• Authorities also warned of uncomfortable outdoor conditions, difficult working environments for personnel operating outdoors or in poorly ventilated areas, possible transportation disruptions linked to extreme heat, and localized power outages due to increased electricity demand.
