As per reports, the Israeli government has extended the special state of emergency in the home front until 14 July, citing continued security concerns along the Lebanon border and the ongoing threat posed by Hezbollah, despite agreements reached on 26 June.
• The extension grants the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Home Front Command authority to impose mandatory civil protection measures, including requirements to remain near protected shelters, restrictions on educational activities and directives affecting emergency response and essential services.
• Israeli authorities stated that the security situation continues to be monitored and that the measures may be amended, eased or applied selectively to specific geographical areas should the threat environment change.
• At the time of reporting, the Home Front Command had not issued any new nationwide public instructions, although officials noted that operational guidance could change rapidly depending on security developments.
