As per reports, the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory from Thursday (26 December) until Friday (27 December) 1000 hours local time in parts of Northern California.
• The advisory has been issued for Western Siskiyou County, South Central Siskiyou County, North Central and South east Siskiyou county.
• Total snow accumulations between 12 to 20 inches, with up to 30 inches near Crater Lake and Mount Shasta Ski area are forecast.
• Winds gusts as high as 70 mph for the southern Oregon Cascades north of Highway 140 including Crater Lake National Park, highways 62, 138, and 51 at Willamette Pass can be expected.
• A winter weather advisory has also been issued for Sierra Nevada until 1200 hours local time on Friday (27 December), with four to 12 inches of snowfall possible in places at 5,000 ft. of elevation and above.
