Winter Storm Warning issued for Northwestern Wyoming mountains and Yellowstone National Park on Thursday (16 April)

As per reports, the National Weather Service (NWS) in Riverton has issued a Winter Storm Warning effective from Thursday (16 April) at approximately 1315 hours (local time) until Friday (17 April) at 0600 hours (local time).

• Heavy snow with additional accumulations of up to 3 inches can be expected.
• Wind gusts are expected to reach as high as 35 mph, significantly reducing visibility due to blowing snow.
• Affected areas include the Yellowstone National Park, the Absaroka Mountains, and the Teton and Gros Ventre Mountains.
