As per reports, a new wildfire has ignited north of Babine Lake near Galwing Creek on Wednesday (30 July).

• BC Wildfire Service classified the fire as out of control and expects the fire to grow beyond its current borders.
• The extent of the wildfire has grown from 0.3 hectares to 0.9 hectares over the morning hours.
