As per reports, a wildfire was reported in the Tantallon area (in the Big Indian Lake area) of Nova Scotia on Wednesday (30 July). The extent and status (under control/ out of control) of the fire at the time of the reporting are unknown.

Following the reports on the fire, the province of Nova Scotia issued a province-wide burn ban. The burn ban prohibits any open-air burning across Nova Scotia due to hot and dry conditions.
