The Sri Lankan Department of Meteorology has issued the following weather forecast for Friday (16 January):

• Mainly fair weather will prevail in the most parts of the island.
• Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Northwestern and Northcentral provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the early hours of Friday (16 January) morning.
