As per reports, a secondary low-pressure system passing south of Maine is bringing moderate to heavy snow to the Bangor region on Friday night (20 February).
• Snow is expected to be wet and heavy, with rates up to one inch per hour during peak intensity. Totals for Greater Bangor are forecast between 3 and 6 inches, with higher amounts (5–6 inches) toward Augusta and lower amounts (3–4 inches) in Bangor itself.
• Heavy snow began spreading southwest to northeast during the evening commute. The heaviest snowfall is expected before midnight, tapering off by daybreak on Saturday.
