As per reports, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast an intensification and expansion of cold wave conditions across several parts of Bangladesh until Tuesday (20 January).

The advisory indicates dry weather with temporarily partly cloudy skies across the country during the forecast period.

• A mild cold wave is currently affecting Dinajpur, Panchagarh, and Chuadanga districts and is expected to persist.
• Light to moderate fog is likely during late night to morning hours, with moderate to thick fog expected over river basin areas on subsequent days. Night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged, while day temperatures may rise slightly initially and fall marginally toward the later part of the forecast period.
