As per reports, the General Directorate of Meteorology of the Syrian Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management has issued a forecast on Wednesday (25 March), which states that Syria is experiencing a third successive Mediterranean low-pressure system, which is expected to persist until Friday (27 March).

• On Wednesday (25 March), most areas across Syria are forecast to experience partly to fully cloudy skies, with scattered to heavy rainfall, potentially accompanied by thunderstorms, particularly in the coastal and northwestern regions.
• Snow is forecast on the highland elevations including the Qalamoun and Anti-Lebanon mountain ranges, with the weather system bringing rain and thunderstorms across coastal and northwestern Syria including Latakia, Tartus, Idlib, western Hama, western Homs, and the highland mountain ranges, and temperatures falling to between one and three degrees Celsius below seasonal averages.
• The Early Warning and Preparedness Department of the Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management has issued warnings of dense fog formation on Wednesday (25 March), which may cause a significant reduction in horizontal visibility across several Syrian governorates. The fog is forecast to cover wide areas of Idlib, Hama, and Homs governorates, extending to the areas of Qara and Nabek in northern rural Damascus, parts of southern Aleppo governorate, Raqqa governorate, and the coastal highland elevations.
• Winds are forecast to blow from the southwest and are expected to be active at times, with the potential to raise dust and cause loose objects to become airborne, particularly in exposed areas.
• Daytime temperatures in Damascus are forecast to reach approximately twelve degrees Celsius, falling to around four degrees Celsius at night. In Aleppo, daytime temperatures are expected to reach approximately fourteen degrees Celsius, with overnight lows around eleven degrees Celsius.
