As per reports, Morocco’s national weather vigilance service has issued alerts for thunderstorms, a heat wave and strong winds across several provinces for Friday (18 September).
• Thunderstorms are expected from 1200 hours local time (1200 hours UTC) to 0000 hours local time on Saturday (0000 hours UTC) in Al Haouz, Al Hoceima, Azilal, Boulemane, Errachidia, Figuig, Midelt, Ouarzazate, Taroudant, Tinghir and Zagora.
• A heat wave is expected from 1200 hours local time (1200 hours UTC) to 1800 hours local time (1800 hours UTC) in Aousserd and Auntie.
• Strong winds are expected from 0000 hours local time (0000 hours UTC) to 2400 hours local time (2400 hours UTC) on Friday (18 September) in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Aousserd, Fahs-Anjra, Oued Ed-Dahab and Tangier-Assilah.
