Orange heat warning issued across multiple provinces for Saturday-Sunday (13 September)

As per reports, Morocco’s General Directorate of Meteorology (Direction Générale de la Météorologie – DGM) has issued an Orange-level weather warning for high temperatures across multiple central and northern provinces on Saturday (12 September) and Sunday (13 September).

• Temperatures are forecast to range between approximately 40 degrees Celsius and 45 degrees Celsius across more than 20 provinces, including Marrakech, Fès, Meknès, Kénitra, Béni Mellal, Settat, Taroudant, Khouribga, Larache, Taounate and Rehamna.
• Separately, temperatures ranging between approximately 34 degrees Celsius and 41 degrees Celsius are forecast across Casablanca, Rabat, Salé, Mohammedia, El Jadida, Safi, Essaouira, Benslimane and surrounding areas during the warning period.
