As per reports, the State Sanitary Works (OSE) announced planned water supply disruptions across multiple departments in Uruguay on Wednesday (24 June) due to scheduled maintenance, improvement works, and network infrastructure upgrades.
• Maldonado (Maldonado Department) areas covering the Perlita neighborhood from 1700 hours local time (2000 hours UTC) to 2030 hours local time (2330 hours UTC) for scheduled improvement works on the distribution network.
• San Gregorio de Polanco (Tacuarembó Department) areas covering Del Ceibo streets, between Pitangueras and Arturo Mollo (Peñarol field), from 1830 hours local time (2130 hours UTC) to 2130 hours local time (0030 hours UTC, 25 June) for pipe joint works.
• Centenario Town (Durazno Department) areas covering the Hospital Area from 1730 hours local time (2030 hours UTC) to 2130 hours local time (0030 hours UTC on 25 June) for scheduled valve replacement work.
• Aguas Dulces resort (Rocha Department) areas covering the sector between Cachimba and Faroles, the coast, and between Av. Los Palafitos to Calle González Campi from 1630 hours local time (1930 hours UTC) to 2030 hours local time (2330 hours UTC) for scheduled improvement works on the distribution network and new pipe connections.
• The agency warned that temporarily elevated levels of turbidity may occur in the water across the affected sectors once service is successfully restored.
• OSE indicated that in the event of inclement or bad weather, the scheduled operations will be suspended until further notice.
