The Delhi Jal Board has issued a public advisory stating that water supply will be affected in several areas of Delhi on Friday (06 March) and Saturday (07 March) due to the annual flushing programme of underground reservoirs and booster pumping stations.
• Areas expected to experience water supply disruption on Friday (06 March) include localities such as Pocket-52 Chittaranjan Park and MOP Block, Chirag Enclave, Hemkunt Colony, Godavari Apartments in Dakshinpuri and adjoining areas, M.B. Extension Bypass Road, BPS area and Khajoor Road, Molarband Extension First, Second and Third 60 Foota areas in Badarpur constituency, Madanpur Khadar village and Aali village area, as well as Jangpura, Lajpat Nagar, Bhogal, Greater Kailash II, Malviya Nagar, Chirag Delhi, East of Kailash and Dayanand Colony.
• Additional affected areas on Saturday (07 March) including Badarpur constituency, Madanpur Khadar village and Aali village area, Jangpura, Lajpat Nagar, Bhogal, Greater Kailash II, Malviya Nagar, Chirag Delhi, Dayanand Colony, A Block in Chittaranjan Park, Kailash Kunj, Mount Kailash, Pocket 10B DDA Flats in Jasola Vihar, DDA LIG and Janta Flats in Badarpur, Badarpur village, Dhandhan Mohalla and East of Kailash.
• Authorities stated that the maintenance activity is part of routine infrastructure servicing aimed at maintaining the quality and efficiency of the water distribution system.
