Water supply cuts scheduled in parts of Cape Town from Monday (15 September) to Saturday (20 September)

The City of Cape Town issued a media release regarding scheduled water supply cuts spanning from Monday (15 September) to Saturday (20 September) in parts of the city due to maintenance works on the water supply infrastructure. The following are the details:

• 0800 hours (local time) on Monday (15 September) till 1600 hours on Saturday (20 September): The Voëlvlei Water Treatment Plant will be shut off during this period. Residents and businesses in the Durbanville, Philadelphia, Fisantekraal and Klipheuwel areas are requested to reduce their water consumption during this period.
• 0800 to 2359 hours on Monday (15 September): The Faure Water Treatment Plant will be shut off, resulting in temporary water supply cut in Cape Town Film Studio, Amazon and Dream World along Baden Powell Drive.
• 0900 to 1800 hours on Tuesday (16 September): The water main to Eureka Estate – Elsies River will be shut off, resulting in water cut in Owen Road, 42nd Avenue, Connaught Road and 35th Street.
• 0900 to 1600 hours on Tuesday (16 September): The water main to water main to Wynberg East will be shut off, resulting in lower than usual water pressure in Railway line, Broad Road, Rosmead Avenue and South Road.
• 0800 to 1700 hours on Tuesday (16 September): The water main to part of Wetton will be shut off, resulting in water cut in the area along Wetton Road between Chukker Road and Rosmead Avenue.
• 1000 to 1600 hours on Tuesday (16 September): The area bounded by Robert Sobukwe Drive, Kasselsvlei Road, Industry Road and Kosmos Street and possibly immediate surrounds in Bellville South will be impacted due to zero-pressure tests and conditional assessments.
• 0900 to 1800 hours on Thursday (18 September): There will be water cut in parts of Rylands including Forbes Avenue, Duine Street, Mabel Road and surrounding roads.
