As per reports, the City of Attleboro, Massachusetts, is scheduled to move to mandatory Level 02 water restrictions from Wednesday (01 July), following a pending heatwave and operational concerns after the Wading River temporary per and polyfluoroalkyl substances water treatment plant recently went offline due to increased manganese levels.
• The City of Attleboro confirmed that, under Level 02 restrictions, handheld watering remains permitted between 1700 hours and 0900 hours local time (2100 hours to 1300 hours UTC), while automatic sprinklers and irrigation systems are prohibited.
• Power washing, car washing and similar non-essential outdoor water uses are also prohibited during Level 02 restrictions.
• The city stated that current water supply status and drought information are being monitored, with residents and businesses urged to conserve water.
