As per reports, in Chapecó, located in the West of Santa Catarina, two Casan pipelines ruptured between the early hours and the morning of Friday (08 March). The Company reported that as a result, five neighborhoods experienced a water outage, namely São Pedro, Bom Pastor, Presidente Médici, Maria Goretti, and Paraíso.
• The incidents occurred on Barão do Rio Branco street at dawn, with a 150-millimeter pipeline breaking during the rain. Another rupture was recorded on Avenida São Pedro on Friday (08 March) morning.
• Casan is actively working to repair the pipelines and restore water supply, with an expected return of water by 1200 hours (local time). Normalization of the service is anticipated around 1800 hours (local time) on Friday (08 March).
