As per reports, a water supply will be suspended from 1000 hours on Thursday (21 August) till 0400 hours on Friday (22 August) in Mulund area of Mumbai, due to a major water pipeline diversion in T Ward to avoid pipeline damage as a result of ongoing bridge construction on the Goregaon-Mulund Link Road (GMLR).
• The affected areas include Goregaon-Mulund Link Road in Mulund (West), Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg, Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, Devidayal Marg, Kshepanbhoomi (Dumping Ground Road), Dr. RP Marg, PK Marg, Zaver Marg, Mahatma Gandhi Marg, NS Marg, SN Marg, RHB Marg, Walji Ladha Marg, VP Marg, Madan Mohan Malviya Marg, ACC Marg, BR Marg, Goshala Marg, SL Marg, and Nahur Gaon, among others.
• The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has advised residents to boil and filter drinking water for at least four to five days after the water supply suspension.
