As per reports, the Vidyasagar Setu will be closed for vehicular movement from 2100 hours on Saturday (16 August) to 2100 hours on Sunday (17 August) for necessary repair work of the bridge and work related to the construction of the elevated corridor on the Kona Expressway.
• Heavy goods vehicles will be diverted via AJC Bose Road, Exide Crossing, Furlong Gate area, Clyde Row, and St. George’s Gate Road. From 1700-2100 hours on Sunday (17 August), movement of all types of vehicles will be prohibited.
• From 0500 hours on Sunday (17 August) till 2100 hours on the same day, movement of all types of vehicles will not be allowed on Vidyasagar Setu.
• Goods vehicles are not allowed on the Howrah Bridge; those will be sent towards Nivedita Setu via BT Road. However, vehicular movement can also be diverted via other roads if needed.
