Uzhydromet has forecast changeable weather conditions across Uzbekistan on Thursday (12 February), with rainfall affecting multiple regions, fog in selected areas, and precipitation, including snow in desert and mountainous zones.
• Rainfall is forecast in Tashkent City, as well as in Tashkent, Sirdaryo, Jizakh, and Samarkand regions, with heavy rainfall in some areas. Bukhara and Navoi regions are expected to receive rainfall, with heavier precipitation in some locations and rain or snow in desert areas. In the Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions, rainfall is expected, with strong rainfall in some areas. Andijan, Namangan, and Fergana regions are forecast to receive rainfall, which may be heavy in places.
• In desert areas of Bukhara and Navoi regions, precipitation may fall as rain or snow. Mountainous regions of the republic are expected to experience precipitation in the form of rain and snow, with heavy falls in some areas. There is a risk of snow drifts in mountainous zones.
• Fog is possible in parts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region, particularly in the morning, as well as in Bukhara, Navoi, Tashkent, Sirdaryo, Jizakh, Samarkand, Andijan, Namangan, Fergana, and mountainous regions.
• Westerly winds are expected across most regions at speeds of 3 to 12 meters per second, with gusts increasing to 13 to 18 meters per second in parts of Bukhara, Navoi, Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya, and mountainous areas.
• Night temperatures are expected to range between minus 8 degrees Celsius and 10 degrees Celsius depending on region, while daytime temperatures will range between approximately 2 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees Celsius. Mountainous areas will experience colder conditions, with temperatures near or below freezing at night.
