Uzhydromet has forecast changeable weather conditions across Uzbekistan on Friday (20 February), with no significant precipitation expected nationwide.
• Changeable but largely dry weather is expected across Tashkent City; Tashkent, Sirdarya, Jizakh, and Samarkand Regions; Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya Regions; and mountainous areas of the republic. No precipitation is forecast in these areas. Nighttime temperatures will generally range between 8–15 degrees Celsius (locally 0–5 degrees Celsius in mountainous areas), while daytime temperatures will range between 18–25 degrees Celsius.
• Isolated rainfall is possible in parts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Khorezm Region, and Bukhara and Navoi Regions, particularly during the evening hours. Temperatures in these areas will range between 3–13 degrees Celsius at night and 8–23 degrees Celsius during the day.
• Localized fog may develop in parts of Andijan, Namangan, and Fergana Regions, particularly during nighttime and early morning hours. Temperatures in these areas will range between 5–10 degrees Celsius at night and 16–21 degrees Celsius during the day.
• Easterly winds will dominate across the country. Wind speeds are generally expected between 5–12 metres per second. In western and desert regions (notably Karakalpakstan, Khorezm, Bukhara, Navoi, Kashkadarya, and Surkhandarya), gusts may increase to 13–18 metres per second and occasionally reach 20–23 metres per second.
