As per reports, the National Weather Service has forecast a risk of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms for multiple states from Thursday (25 September) to Saturday (27 September).
• On Thursday (25 September), a cold front affecting states from the Great Lakes to Texas is expected to cause scattered rainfall, with potential for flash flooding in urban and low-lying areas. States impacted include Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, and states across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Southeast.
• On Thursday (25 September), a few strong thunderstorms are possible from Georgia and Florida northward to North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and southern New England, capable of producing damaging wind gusts.
• States in the Southwest, including Arizona and New Mexico, face a threat of flash flooding through Saturday (27 September) due to repeated rainfall.
• Critical fire weather conditions are also forecast for parts of Washington and Oregon on Thursday (25 September).
