As per reports, Vice President Kamala Harris plans to visit the southern border during her campaign trip to Arizona on Friday (27 September).

• Immigration continues to be a pivotal issue in the 2024 election cycle, with Harris facing criticism from former President Donald Trump and Republican stakeholders regarding her involvement in border policies.
• Simultaneously, former President Trump is expected to initiate his tour of key states, where he will deliver remarks focusing on the tax code and US manufacturing in Georgia on September 24. Furthermore, he is scheduled to hold a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on 05 October, dedicated to honouring the victims of a recent incident that occurred at a prior rally.
• Recent polling data from New York Times/Siena College indicates that Trump holds a lead over Harris, with a margin of 50 percent to 45 percen in Arizona. In North Carolina, the race remains competitive, with Trump leading by a narrow margin of 49 percent to 47 percent.
• Kamala Harris has accepted an invitation to participate in a debate scheduled for 23 October, while Trump has conveyed reluctance to engage in further debates, citing the proximity to Election Day as a concern.
