As per reports, following are the updates on wildfires in Canada as of Wednesday (02 July):

• Fire activity remains concentrated in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Ontario where dry and windy conditions continue to fuel the outbreaks.
• There are 67 wildfires burning across Alberta in the Forest Protection Area as of Wednesday (02 July). 19 are classified as out of control, 10 are being held and 32 assessed to be under control. Evacuation orders remain in effect as wildfire activity continues in large parts of Alberta. The Kee Tas Kee Now Tribal Council’s evacuation orders for Peerless Lake and Trout Lake remain in effect as of Wednesday (02 July). Highway 686 between Red Earth Creek and Trout Lake is closed. Also, the Municipal District of Opportunity No. 17’s evacuation order for Chipewyan Lake remains in effect as of Wednesday (02 July).
• 58 active fires have been reported in Manitoba and have forced the implementation of evacuation orders, with 21 being out of control as of Wednesday (02 July). Three fires are being held and eight are under control. Fire EA061 remains out of control as of Wednesday (02 July). A closure and mandatory evacuation order continues for parts of Nopiming Provincial Park and the entire areas of Wallace Lake and South Atikaki provincial parks. Fire WE017, located near Sherridon and the city of Flin Flon, is out of control as of Wednesday (02 July). Firefighting crews from Mexico have arrived from Guadalajara and are contributing to firefighting efforts in Manitoba.
• Out of the 79 active wildfires in British Columbia, 36 have been classified as out of control, 16 are considered being held, and 27 wildfires are assessed to be under control as of Wednesday (02 July). The Thompson-Nicola Regional District has declared a local state of emergency for the Blue Sky Country region due to the Nikaia Creek wildfire near Lytton as of Wednesday (02 July). The Lytton First Nation has also issued an evacuation alert on Monday (30 June) for Papyum 27, Papyum 27A, Lytton 27B and Nohomeen 23 due to wildfires.
• 64 fires are considered active across the province of Saskatchewan, 19 of which are not contained and 28 of which are ongoing assessment as of Wednesday (02 July). The Shoe Fire continues to be the largest fire in Saskatchewan at 554,484 hectares as of Wednesday (02 July). The provincial wildfire State of Emergency has not been renewed as of Wednesday (02 July).
• There are 32 active fires in Ontario as of Wednesday (02 July), out of which six are out of control, six are under control, and 18 are being monitored. The Red Lake 12 wildfire in Ontario, 6.5 kilometers from the community of Sandy Lake First Nation, is not under control as of Wednesday (02 July), measuring at around 195,670 hectares. The Sioux Lookout 18 Fire is at 23,648 hectares as of Wednesday (02 July). New fires include RED057 west of Cat Lake First Nation, and NIP012 at Nipigon, north of Nakina.
• Alerts have been issued in parts of Canada and neighboring US states due to hazardous air quality.
