As per reports, following are the updates on wildfires in Canada as of Monday (23 June):

• Fire activity remains concentrated in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Ontario where dry and windy conditions continue to fuel the outbreaks.
• There are 49 wildfires burning across Alberta in the Forest Protection Area as of Monday (23 June). 19 are classified as out of control, three are being held and 27 assessed to be under control. Evacuation orders remain in effect as wildfire activity continues in large parts of Alberta. However, Alberta Wildfire has reported possibility of low fire activity due to constant rainfall over the past week. Increased fire activity is expected north of Slave Lake such as Marten Beach and Assineau, where drier conditions have been reported.
• 22 active fires have been reported in Manitoba and have forced the implementation of evacuation orders, with six being out of control as of Monday (23 June). All air quality warnings and statements have been lifted across Manitoba as of Monday (23 June). Fire WE017 near Sherridon and the city of Flin Flon is at approximately 370,780 hectares and classified as out of control as of Monday (23 June). Mandatory evacuation orders remain in place for Big Island, Schist Lake, Little Athapapuskow Cottage Area, Whitefish, White Lake (northwest region), Bakers Narrows Provincial Park and the city of Flin Flon.
• Out of the 84 active wildfires in British Columbia, 39 have been classified as out of control, 18 are considered being held, and 27 wildfires are assessed to be under control as of Monday (23 June). The Kiskatinaw River wildfire has shrunk from 26,324 hectares to 26,315 hectares. The Dryden Creek wildfire is now classified as under control as of Monday (23 June). However, an evacuation order issued to portions of two properties in the Brackendale area still remains in place as of Monday (23 June). An Evacuation Alert also remains in place for some properties closest to the fire zone.
• 20 fires are considered active across the province of Saskatchewan, five of which are not contained and t12 of which are ongoing assessment as of Monday (23 June). The Shoe Fire continues to be the largest fire in Saskatchewan at 554,484 hectares. However, fire crews have been able to contain about 45 percent of the fire. The Pisew and Wolf Fires are still continue to burn at 184,877 hectares and 161,420 hectares respectively as of Monday (23 June). Fire bans are active in 29 urban municipalities, 66 rural municipalities and 11 provincial parks in the province, with the fire danger considered low over much of Saskatchewan as of Monday (23 June).
• There are 25 active fires in Ontario as of Tuesday (17 June), out of which seven are out of control, five are under control, and 11 are being monitored. The Red Lake 12 wildfire in Ontario, 6.5 kilometers from the community of Sandy Lake First Nation, is not under control as of Tuesday (17 June), measuring at around 177,087 hectares. The Kenora 39 wildfire was confirmed on the evening of Sunday (June 15), burning south of Dryberry Lake, roughly 15 km east of Highway 71. It remains not under control and is being closely monitored as of Tuesday (17 June).
• Alerts have been issued in parts of Canada and neighboring US states due to hazardous air quality.
