The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued yellow and orange alerts for rainfall across several districts of Telangana on Friday (06 September). Orange alert for very heavy rainfall, thunderstorm and lightning accompanied by strong surface winds is active in Bhadradri Kothagudem district. Additionally, yellow alert for thunderstorm and lightning along with strong surface winds is active in all the remaining districts of the state including Hyderabad.
