As per reports, on Saturday (18 May), the Ukrainian Regional Military Administration of the Sumy region announced that Russian forces bombed the border communities including Khotyn, Yunikivka, Bilublja, and Merubliya in the Sumy region.

• Moreover, at least two people have been killed and 19 were wounded in the Russian bombing of Kharkiv on Friday (17 May).
• A Ukrainian drone attack killed one person and injured another in southern Russia’s Belgorod region.
• The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has urged China to come to Switzerland peace summit in June. More than 50 countries have confirmed their participation in a peace conference in Switzerland that is aimed at finding ways to achieve a lasting peace in Ukraine.
• He also warned that Russia’s renewed offensive on the northeastern Kharkiv region could be the first wave of a longer Russian campaign aimed at capturing the region’s capital city of Kharkiv.
