Update on train collision reported at Delray Beach, Florida on Saturday (28 December)

As per reports, a Brightline train collided with a fire truck on East Atlantic Avenue tracks near Railroad Avenue in Delray Beach, Florida at approximately 1045 hours local time on Saturday (28 December) morning.

• The collision resulted in injuries to three firefighters and 12 train passengers. No fatalities have been reported.
• Local emergency services, including Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, responded to assist and transport the injured to nearby hospitals.
• Authorities, including the Delray Beach Police Department, Brightline officials, and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), have initiated an investigation to determine whether malfunctioning crossing gates contributed to the collision.
