As per reports, as of Wednesday (28 May), taxi protests across France continue to evolve following Tuesday’s (27 May) government meetings.

• While formal strike actions appear to be easing in certain locations, protest activity remains active in various forms. Reports indicate that some drivers are returning home, yet others are still present in protest zones such as Boulevard Raspail in Paris and in Pau, with visible signs of unrest as of Wednesday (28 May).
• Protest leaders have indicated that further response depends on reviewing meeting outcomes and gauging support among drivers.
• The protest movement is transitioning into a new phase characterised by sporadic, decentralised actions. According to the National Taxi Federation, rallies are expected to resume during the day on Wednesday (28 May) in Paris, and other cities including Lyon, Marseille, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Lille, Nantes, Strasbourg, Nice, and Rennes may experience similar action.
• The Boulevard Raspail site, previously a key protest location, was partly cleared on Tuesday night (27 May), but remains an active zone for potential gatherings.
• Approximately 200 taxis in Pau conducted a slow-moving operation on Tuesday (27 May), and more drivers from various departments are expected to join the movement in the coming days.
