As per reports, the following are the latest updates on pollution in the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) as of Friday (06 December):
• The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has revoked actions under Stage-III (‘Severe’) and Stage-IV (‘Severe+’) of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) due to improved air quality in Delhi-NCR. However, measures under Stage-I and Stage-II remain in effect.
• The Air Quality Index (AQI) for Delhi is reported to show significant improvement, falling into the ‘Moderate’ category at 165 AQI points, well below the threshold for Stage-II as of Thursday (05 December).
• The measures under Stage-I and II of GRAP apply to the entire National Capital Region (NCR), including Delhi, parts of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Rajasthan.
