As per reports, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Suvendu Adhikari is to be sworn in as the new Chief Minister of West Bengal. The swearing-in ceremony of the new BJP government will be held at Brigade Parade Ground from 1000 hours (local time) on Saturday (09 May).
• Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are to attend the swearing-in ceremony. BJP president Nitin Nabin, Union ministers, and chief ministers of all NDA-ruled states are expected to attend the event as well.
• Additionally, security has been increased outside West Bengal BJP Legislative Party Leader Suvendu Adhikari’s residence in Kolkata as on Saturday (09 May).
