According to reports, ahead of the strike scheduled for Tuesday (02 April), a discussion is set to take place involving officials from the Finance Ministry on Monday (01 April). The outcome of this meeting will decide the course of action regarding the impending strike.
If the strike action proceeds, then several health sector trade unions, including hospital administration and junior health staff, will jointly initiate a nationwide strike across Sri Lanka on Tuesday (02 April), starting at 0630 hours.
