As per reports, the following are the developments in view of the Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange’s planned protests as of Wednesday (27 August):

• Manoj Jarange Patil left from Antarwali Sarati along with the Maratha protesters at 1000 hours on Wednesday (27 August). He will be staying in Junnar. After that, the Maratha Morcha will reach Azad Maidan in Mumbai on Thursday (28 August) after traveling through Rajguru Nagar, Khed, Chakan, Talegaon, Lonavala, Panvel, Vashi and Chembur.
• Meanwhile, the Maratha community has started arriving in large numbers at Antarwali Sarati and preparations for the march have begun.
• As of Wednesday (27 August), after Manoj Jarange’s appeal, Maratha community from villages across the state left for Mumbai in trains for reservation. From every village in Parbhani district, the community members have left in various trains carrying two months’ worth of groceries, gas, grates, pans and other materials.
• Moreover, hundreds of community members from Hingoli also left for Mumbai. Members from Digras Karhale village in the district will also leave for Mumbai.
