As per reports, the latest situational updates in Manipur, as of Monday (30 December) are as follows:

• A journalist with a local TV channel was injured on Saturday (28 December) as armed men, suspected to be Kuki militants, continued to attack Meitei villages in Imphal East district.
• Additional forces comprising state police and Central forces reached the impacted site and engaged in a gun battle with the armed men who fired from the hillsides. The security forces further launched a joint search operation. However, there was no arrest report.
• Moreover, armed attackers on Friday (27 December) resorted to gunfire and bomb attacks on two villages in Imphal East district, creating distress among the locals. The security forces reached Sanasabi and Thamnapokpi villages to maintain law and order.
