As per reports, the latest situational updates in Manipur as of Monday (21 October) are as follows:

• Two Meitei houses were set ablaze by unknown miscreants at Nungkhal in Manipur’s Jiribam district on Saturday night (19 October), a day after suspected Kuki militants attacked the Borobekera police station and set three Meitei houses on fire.
• The superintendent of police (SP) stated that the district police along with CRPF jawans conducted a search operation in and around strategic areas of Jiribam district; however, no individuals were arrested, nor were any arms seized. A case has been registered at the Jiribam police station for further investigation.
• As many as 19 Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs have signed a letter demanding the removal of Chief Minister N Biren Singh. This demand for leadership change follows a key meeting in Delhi where Meitei, Kuki, and Naga MLAs discussed the escalating unrest in Manipur.
• Arms and ammunition have been seized during a search operation in Manipur’s Thoubal district, as stated by the police on Sunday (20 October). Security forces conducted the search operation in Irong Hill near STNBA Gate on Saturday (19 October).
