Central Weather Administration (CWA) has issued weather alert for heavy rainfall in parts of Taiwan on Tuesday (05 August). Yellow alert has been issued for Kaohsiung City, Yunlin County, Chiayi City and County, Tainan City, Pingtung County and Penghu County.

• The death toll from heavy rainfall has increased to five, three missing people have been reported while 78 people sustained injuries as of Monday (04 August).
• Around 50,671 households have been impacted by power outages, and state-run Taiwan Power Company were still working to restore the power supply to 303 households by 1700 hours on Monday (04 August).
