As per reports, a significant industrial fire reportedly occurred at a chemical and soap manufacturing facility located in the Abu Zaabal area along the Egypt–Ismailia Road in Qalyubia Governorate at approximately 0231 hours local time (0031 hours UTC) on Monday (22 June).
• Following reports of the incident, the Qalyubia Security Directorate received an alert through the Civil Protection Operations Center indicating that a large fire had broken out at the factory.
• Emergency response operations were initiated immediately, and civil protection teams were deployed to the site. At least six fire engines were dispatched to contain the blaze and prevent its spread to nearby facilities and surrounding areas.
• Authorities focused on controlling the fire, limiting its expansion, and reducing the risk of secondary incidents affecting neighboring industrial or residential areas. At the time of reporting, emergency operations were ongoing and no official information had been released regarding casualties, injuries, environmental contamination, or the extent of structural damage.
• A formal incident report was filed, and the Public Prosecution has initiated an investigation to determine the cause and circumstances of the fire.
