As per reports, the Egyptian national football team is scheduled to host Angola in their opening Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2027 qualifying fixture at Cairo International Stadium from 2200 hours local time (1900 hours UTC) on Friday (25 September).
• Reports suggest that security authorities approved the attendance of up to 40,000 spectators across the stadium perimeters, creating high pedestrian volumes.
• Reports indicate that municipal traffic authorities plan to set up vehicular checkpoints, parking restrictions, and localized access diversions along Al-Nasr Road, El-Orouba Street, and primary access roads in Nasr City surrounding the venue.
• Reports indicate that local police forces and security services plan to deploy extra personnel around nearby Cairo Metro Line 03 stations, including the Stadium station, to manage crowd dispersion and maintain public order before and after the match.
