As per reports, on Wednesday (10 June), it was stated that the incident occurred at approximately 2200 hours (local time) on Tuesday (09 June), when a fire broke out in the OPD and emergency section of Santosh Hospital in Ghaziabad.
• The incident was reportedly caused by a leak from oxygen and nitrogen cylinders connected to the emergency pendant system.
• Hospital staff initially attempted to contain the fire using available fire safety equipment; however, the fire continued due to the ongoing gas leak.
• Police personnel from Sihani Gate Police Station, along with fire department teams, responded to the incident.
• Authorities stated that the fire was brought under control through coordinated efforts by hospital staff, police, and fire responders, and that no casualties were reported in connection with the incident.
• The report indicates that a further investigation into the incident remains underway to determine the exact cause and contributing factors.
